Terms & Conditions

Please read these in full, as payment for the services represents your acceptance of them.

Limitation of Liability:

You acknowledge that you are voluntarily participating in dog-related services (group classes, 121 sessions or online training) provided by Behave with Hayley, with knowledge of the potential dangers.

You are responsible for informing us of your dog’s medical, social and behavioural history, or any concerns that you have when asking us for personalised advice. This includes updating us on any incidents or changes to behaviour that occur after you provide initial information to us and between classes or 121 visits.

You acknowledge that dogs are unpredictable animals with their own will and drives, and therefore regardless of training, handling or environmental circumstances, Behave with Hayley, cannot protect against every potential injury, risk or accident to you, to members of the public, to other persons participating in the training or in the area the training is taking place. These may include dog bites, dog attacks and the complications that may arise from them, and you understand that such risks are inherent and cannot be eliminated. This agreement is intended to shift the risk of participation in dog-related services to you. By agreeing to them you are willing to assume the risk to yourself, your dog, and others who might come into contact with your dog during the course of services provided by Behave with Hayley. This includes any location, including your own home, a training venue or a public place.

You remain responsible for the actions of yourself and your dog, and it is recommended that you have adequate pet insurance that covers 3rd party liability, in the unlikely event that damage is caused by your dog to property or to a third party.

Behave with Hayley has suitable insurance in place to cover the running of classes and provision of dog behaviour advice.

Expected Results:

While we believe that for most people, following our programmes and methods will lead to desired results, the success of any training and behaviour plan is subject to several factors. Results will be affected by the effort and commitment of the guardian, as well as any genetic predisposition and prior learning of the dog. We, therefore, provide no warranties of any kind, express or implied, as to: 1. the effectiveness of any techniques, advice, plans or programmes that we deliver; or 2. the results that you may achieve as a result of following our programmes.  All testimonials shown on our website or in our content are from real people who have followed the plans provided by us. For the avoidance of any doubt, however, they are not indicative of the results that you are likely to achieve, rather they are included as examples of the results that particular individuals have achieved.

Payment:

Payment should be made in full, prior to the classes, 121 visits. Your booking is not confirmed until this is received. You will receive a reminder to make the payment but in the event that this is not paid, the class space or 121 session will be cancelled and you will be notified. We mainly cover the Vale of Glamorgan, Cardiff & Bridgend. if you live outside these areas, please do pay for any services as we may not be able to help you. Please contact us first to discuss. In the event that you do pay  even though you live outside these areas, and we have to refund you, we will deduct 7.5% to cover fees and processing time.

Health Considerations:

All puppies attending socials should have had at least their first set of vaccinations. Your vet will be able to advise you when it is safe for your puppy to attend. By agreeing to these terms and conditions it is assumed that you have taken advice from your vet that it is safe for your puppy to attend.

If your dog has signs of discharge (eyes, nose, mouth, genitals) coughing, vomiting, diarrhoea, fleas, ticks or open wounds, or you suspect they are generally unwell, please do not bring them to class. This prevents cross-infection as well as worsening of any condition your dog might present. If your dog is unable to attend, we still encourage you to come along as you will continue to learn and can practice the practical training at home.

Please do not bring any dogs that have been in contact with kennel cough to classes.

It is not appropriate to bring females in season to a class,  so please inform us if you suspect this is about to happen. we still encourage you to come along as you will continue to learn and can practice the practical training at home.

Please advise me in advance, if you have any conditions that I can assist with, to make sure the classes are accessible for you.

For 121 sessions, please keep us up to date with any health changes, signs of illness or dogs due into season, so we can decide if it is appropriate and safe to go ahead with sessions.

Food for training is usually advised to be 'high-value' - something that your dog is highly motivated by. Please use these foods sparingly, particularly if they are higher fat items. If your dog has any medical conditions that affect their diet, you will need to use a suitable food for their needs.

Refund & Cancellation Policy:

Behave with Hayley understands that there may be times when you need to amend or cancel bookings and we will endeavour to look after you and ensure you receive the appropriate support with your requests. For ease of clarification, please see the details below on timescales for refunds.

Courses & Workshops

If you cancel within 10 days of the course start date, or event date, I regret that we are unable to provide you with a refund, as it is highly unlikely that we will be able to fill the space.

If you cancel more than 10 days in advance, we can provide you with a full refund, minus a 20% administration fee.

Regrettably, we cannot offer discounts or refunds to cover your booked holidays, sickness, or inability to attend. We need to offer a continuity of service that is fair to all. When you book a place, you are securing your place and not your attendance.

Please do not knowingly book an aggressive or very fearful dog on to class as it is detrimental to your dog and also other course participants. If it is deemed that the class environment is unsuitable for your dog, we will discuss alternative options with you. If you have failed to divulge any information during the booking process that is the reason that the class is unsuitable, you will not be entitled to a refund or the offer of alternative arrangements.

If a course or workshop is cancelled unexpectedly by the trainer, you will be offered a place on a future course, if this is not convenient for you, you will be entitled to a full refund.

If a single class during a course is cancelled unexpectedly, an alternative date will be arranged. If you are unable to attend, you will be offered a partial refund proportionate of a single class.
